General<\/strong><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The welfare of the horse must prevail above all.
<\/p>

Everyone who takes part agrees to act in fairness. <\/span>
Any online event depends on the honesty of the those involved. <\/span>
<\/font>We therefore appeal to the honesty and sportsmanship of all participants.
<\/span>Please refrain from using social media to complain about other participants. If you believe someone is breaking the rules for personal gain, please inform us and we will investigate and take appropriate action. <\/span><\/p>

<\/span>All tests to be ridden sidesaddle.
<\/span>Riders may ride more than one horse.
Riders may not enter more than two horses in the same test.
<\/span>The restrictions to riding in various classes apply to each horse-rider entry.
<\/span>Once you have ridden the level of your choice and have been classified, it is not allowed to ride at a lower level in subsequent events. Therefore, it is advisable to choose a test lower than the one your horse usually performs in order to do well, so as to gradually grow, rather than to start with a test above your possibilities to achieve a poor result, only to find that you should have signed up to an easier test.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Attire and Tack<\/strong><\/p>\n


<\/p>

All tests to be ridden sidesaddle.<\/span><\/font><\/p>

Any type of bridle, English, Spanish, \u00abGoyesca\u00bb or \u00abvaquera\u00bb with a \u00abreasonable\u00bbbit, snaffle, pelham, double bridle or sole curb, may be used.
<\/span><\/font>The following are not permitted: <\/span>unprotected or unpadded \u00abserretas\u00bb <\/span><\/font>any type of hackamore, gag, elevator, tandem bits or bits that activate the noseband with the bit; any curb bit with shanks longer than 15 cm, or any bit the Judge deems inhumane.<\/span><\/p>

Please avoid mixing different style tack, for example, an english bridle with a \u00abvaquera\u00bb saddle<\/span><\/font><\/p>

Please avoid tightening the noseband to the maximum.<\/span><\/font><\/p>

All kinds of draw reins, running, elastic or fixed reins, standing or running martingales, boots, bell boots or bandages are strictly forbidden.<\/span><\/font><\/p>

The use of a running martingale, boots, bell boots or bandages is only allowed in Group 9 tests \u2248 Prix Musy \u2248<\/span><\/font><\/p>

It is not essential to plait the horse.<\/span><\/font><\/p>


<\/span><\/font><\/p>

The side-saddle rider must carry a cane that does not exceed 100cm when riding holding the reins with both hands and <\/span><\/font>and not exceeding<\/span> <\/span>70cm when riding with the reins only in the left hand.<\/span><\/p>


<\/span><\/font><\/p>

It is not compulsory to wear a formal or showing habit, but since AEMA encourages the appropriate sidesaddle riding attire, turnout will be judged in order to promote the appropriate dress code among Spanish sidesaddle riders.<\/span><\/font><\/p>

We do recommend the correct dress for sidesaddle riding, although nobody will be left out for not wearing the perfect sidesaddle attire. Please wear riding clothes that are of restrained colours, avoiding unnecessary accessories and have your hair neatly tied back, preferably in a bun so that the hair does not touch the collar of the shirt.<\/span><\/font><\/p>

Riding footwear, breeches, hat or helmet and gloves are mandatory; minors must wear an approved hard hat.<\/span><\/font><\/p>

Riders from other countries who have their own traditional tack and attire may use them according to their custom, preferably adapting the style of the full skirt to an apron.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Arena<\/strong><\/p>
\n

The size of the arena should be 40m x 20m, approximately, unless the test sheet allows another size.
If possible, leave a clear strip of a couple of meters all around the arena so as not to restrict the view.
The letter markers and the corners of the arena must be marked or indicated in some way, so as to determine the perimeter, which can be done with flowerpots, posts or something similar that is visible on the video, preferably with the corresponding letters.

Recording<\/strong><\/p>\n

To record the test, the person with the camera or mobile should stand a few meters from the letter B outside the arena. Recording can also be done with the Pivo system or similar.\n
The camera or mobile must be held in a landscape, horizontal position. We may decline your video if it\u2019s in portrait, vertical position.\n
The recording must be done in one piece, continuously and without interruption, that is, without cuts.\n
The volume of the camera must be turned on to record live sound, so as to allow the hoofbeats to be heard when the horse passes near the camera.\n
The rider is not allowed to use her voice as an aid.\n
No indications, external help or instructions from people around is allowed during the course of the test. No other horses are allowed in the arena. Noisy environments, loud music, machinery, strong wind, etc. should be avoided as it attenuates the evolution and environment of the horse in movement.\n
Videos that have been edited, cut and pasted, or taken in parts, or videos with the direct sound muted, changed or with music added will not be accepted.\n
Recording should start a few seconds or 10-15 metres before entering the arena until the rider leaves the arena after the final salute.\n
The person recording has to verbally announce the rider\u2019s and horse\u2019s name and the test she is going to perform when she enters the arena. If the recording is done with the Pivo system, the rider will have to approach the camera, say her name, horse\u2019s name and test, and then proceed towards the entrance of the arena and begin her test.\n
Try to avoid backlit or poorly lit recordings where the horse appears dark or dim. Keep horse and rider in full view without cutting off the his legs or the rider\u2019s head. When the horse moves away, it is preferable to zoom gradually, without zooming in too quickly or too close, so as to loose the reference of his position in the arena or the marker.\n
If the person recording has a shaky hand, find something to rest the camera to keep it still.

The entry fee for NON-Members is 15\u20ac per test. Free for AEMA Members.

Given the increasing exposure to the media and social networks, AEMA is of the opinion that people\u2019s privacy should be respected. For this reason, we prefer that you send us your video directly without uploading it to any public platform.
\nSince the emails do not allow attaching a file of more than 25Mb, insufficient for a more than 3 minutes video in an acceptable resolution, we recommend using We Transfer<\/a>, through which uncompressed videos of up to 20Gb can be attached.
\nJust open the We Transfer<\/a> website in any browser, attach the video, indicating your name, horse\u00b4s name and test and send it to aema.club@monta-amazona.com<\/em>The upload time of the video will depend on the speed of your internet connection.
\nThe video resolution should ideally be Full HD 1920\u200a\u00d7\u200a1080<\/strong><\/u> or at least HD 1280\u200a\u00d7\u200a720<\/strong>Videos in lower resolutions lack focus and quality enough to see details and may not be accepted.
\nPlease, do not send your video through WhatsApp<\/u>, or videos that have gone through this application, as it compresses the video automatically, since it does not support files larger than 64Mb and by reducing the quality so much, the result is too small.
\nTelegram<\/span><\/a> is the best option to share large files through mobile messaging, allowing up to 2Gb for any file type. If you choose to send your video through
Telegram, please remember to select the correct definition before pressing the send button to AEMA mobile number +34 692 192 777.
